Anti-Virus

In a commercial environment you should INVEST in a good ant-virus solution.

Here is why. This is an example of AVG Free going wrong :-

It is finding a perfectly good file as possibly having a Trojan Horse. It is wrong, Malwarebytes run afterwards reported the file as being fine. This is called a False Positive.

Provtool.exe is actually part of the Windows operating system!

You get what you pay for.

The AVG was loaded when we installed another program which was annoying. It took a lot of effort to get rid of it as it kept reinstalling itself.

We have no bias towards any anti-virus but the two that we use are :-

  • Kaspersky Internet Security on the PC
  • Panda Global Security on the Mac
